Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C Derivative) for Acne Inflammation

Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate is a water-soluble vitamin C derivative. Unlike L-ascorbic acid (the standard form of vitamin C), Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate is not acidic. It performs best in the formula with a ph around 7, a huge contrast to L-ascorbic acid which needs a ph below 3.5.

Although it is more stable than L-ascorbic acid, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate is also prone to oxidation in contact with the oxygen atom of the water molecule (H2 O).

Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate Reduces Acne Inflammation

Numerous studies showed that Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate at 5% concentration improved the appearance of acne-prone skin. At 5% concentration, it has antimicrobial activities against Propionibacterium acnes, the bacteria that causes acne vulgaris. Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate has been shown to reduce acne inflammation.

It has also been reported that the combination of Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate and Ascorbyl Palmitate significantly reduced sebum secretion. This will be beneficial for oily skin, however, it will not be good for dry or mature skin.

Nevertheless, unlike Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid and Retinoic Acid; the commonly-used ingredients for the treatment of blemishes, the drying effects of Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate and Ascorbyl Palmitate will not cause excessive dryness or peeling of the skin.

Resveratrol Protects Skin Better Than Vitamin C, A and E

Antioxidant plays a critical role in protecting skin from free radicals. Found in the skin of red grape, Resveratrol has more powerful antioxidant properties than Vitamin C, A, E, Catechin (in teas), Epicatechin (in cocoa), Gallocatechin (in adzuki beans), Gallic Acid (in blueberries), Ellagic Acid (in pomegranates) and Idebenone.

Resveratrol protects skin cells from free radical and oxidative damage. It helps prevent the depletion of collagen and elastin fibres. With its skin-renewing properties, Resveratrol helps reduce the appearance of dark spots, wrinkles, lines, sagging skin and also hormonal acne during perimenopause and menopause.

Resveratrol is one of the star ingredients in award-winning Henry Tianus Bio-Collagen Serum and Bio-Collagen Ageless Cream. To reduce the appearance of wrinkles, lines, sagging skin and uneven skin tone; apply this extra lifting and firming serum underneath the cream on freshly cleansed skin, every morning and evening. With regular daily use, wrinkles and lines appear less noticeable; and the skin looks and feels firmer, more radiant and lifted. While there isn't any solution yet to de-age our look permanently, Henry Tianus Bio-Collagen Serum and Bio-Collagen Ageless Cream help your skin retain its youthful look for longer.
