The 5 Best Hair Follicle Activators

Rosemary essential oil has been shown to reduce dihydrotestosterone level in hair follicles by almost 95%."

As an anti-ageing specialist who has been affected by androgenic alopecia, I spent over 15 years developing anti hair loss formulas. By combining aromatherapy and biotechnology, I have finally invented Hair Loss Solution for Men and Women. The key to a successful hair loss treatment is making sure that hair follicles get all the required nutrients to prevent them from shrinking.

In most hair loss cases, hair density can actually be restored, however it will not happen in a few months. It may take years to reactivate all the dormant hair follicles. Reviving dying hair follicles needs consistency and persistency. Restoring hair density can be a long, gradual process. After hair fall, it can take more than 3 months before hair follicle starts growing a new hair. To speed up hair growth, topical products should contain these five best hair follicle activators:

1. Menthol

A major active compound found in peppermint oil, menthol helps keep hair follicles active and stops them from shrinking. Peppermint oil contains 40% menthol. A study showed that peppermint oil is much better than minoxidil in preventing hair follicles from shrinking and activating dormant hair follicles. Menthol increases cutaneous blood flow, blood circulation in the skin (epidermis and dermis) where the hair follicles are located. The increased blood flow to hair follicles brings more nutrients and oxygen to enable hair follicles to keep producing and growing hair.

2. Rosemary essential oil

Dihydrotestosterone is a hormone which triggers hair loss in some men and women. Known as DHT, this androgenic hormone causes hair follicles to shrink and become dormant. Dihydrotestosterone restricts the nutrients and oxygen supply to hair follicles and shortens the hair growth cycle. Rosemary essential oil has been shown to reduce dihydrotestosterone level in hair follicles by almost 95%.

Hair Growth Serum has been formulated with menthol, rosemary essential oil, caffeine, vitamin B3 and pro-vitamin B5 to activate hair follicles and maximise hair growth.

3. Caffeine

Regardless of the gender, adult human body converts some testosterone to dihydrotes tosterone with the help of an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase. In some people, the presence of dihydrotestosterone in the scalp causes hair follicles to shrink and no longer able to grow hair. Like with menthol and rosemary essential oil, topical application of caffeine solution on to the scalp has been shown to reactivate dormant hair follicles.

4. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)

Inflammation and poor blood circulation in the scalp are also the major factors in hair loss. Blood carries the nutrients for hair follicles to stay active. Niacinamide is known to improve blood circulation and reduce inflammation in the scalp including hair follicles.

5. Vitamin E

Like niacinamide, vitamin E reduces inflammation in the scalp and protects hair follicles from free radicals, pollution and oxidative stress. Vitamin E is also known to speed up cell renewal, hence it helps hair follicles to actively grow hair.

Scalp Stimulator has been formulated with menthol, rosemary essential oil and vitamin E to revive dying, dormant hair follicles and stimulate new hair growth. It works synergistically with Hair Growth Serum.
